Medicine Ball Seated Rotation

EQUIPMENT: Medicine ball

PRIME MOVERS: Internal and external obliques

ASSISTANT MOVERS: Rectus abdominis, multifidus

STABILIZERS: Transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, hip flexor muscles, quadriceps

1. Sit on the floor with your torso leaning back up to 45 degrees, your legs slightly flexed, and your heels 6 inches off of the floor. Hold a medicine ball in front of you.

2. Rotate to one side and lower the medicine ball until you lightly touch the floor.

Quickly rotate in the opposite direction and repeat.
